Seasonal Programs

Fall / Winter

Did you know a coat donation can help a child in your community stay warm this winter? Coats help provide children the ability to stay warm, prevent sickness, and protect them from harsh weather or living conditions. We collect coats both new and used to distribute through local schools and social workers. If you are interested in donating coats or outer wear or need items, please contact us below. View current donation needs here before you plan to donate.
Winter Coat Drive
Summer

Let’s make this next school year the best yet for students in need. In the summer before school starts, we collect supplies and donations to put together backpacks to distribute to students in McKeesport and the surrounding communities. This past year, we provided supplies to more than 210 students. If you’re currently in need of school supplies, please fill out this contact form to get in touch with us. More information about our 2022 Back-to-School program will be available later this summer.

Thanksgiving
Fall
To serve the most people and create the biggest impact, we are only accepting monetary donations to bulk purchase thanksgiving meals. Donations can be made online by clicking Donate below or checks can be made out to The McKeesport Agape Center.

Christmas
Fall / Winter

We bring holiday magic to as many children as possible during the Christmas season. This year we are planning our second "Big MAC" Christmas drive! We are collecting monetary donations to purchase meals and are also collecting new, unwrapped toys.

Teen Hygiene Program
It’s easy to overlook the luxury of having shampoo, deodorant, and feminine hygiene products. Many teens and adolescents do not have access or can’t afford basic hygiene items. We partner with schools and social workers to help provide these products to those who need it most. If you’re interested in donating items, you can view what items we are currently in need of here as well as information about dropping them off. If you would like to contact us about this program, please contact us today.

Job Search
Agape wants all neighbors who are able to work and wanting to work, to have the best chance of success. We offer resume writing and free job interview training for anyone who asks. If you need public assistance and somebody to help you navigate the process, or help you to complete the process online, we are here to help. Simply submit a request and we will help connect you to one of our team members.

John Hamilton Veterans Program
We believe in serving those who serve all of us. Supporting veterans is part of our mission to show love in action. When a veteran is released from the hospital or sick and alone they may request hot meals delivered to their home. For more information about this program or if you would like to get involved, please contact us.

Dubby's Birthday Cakes
Every child deserves a cake on their birthday. We provide a cake mix, candles, icing, and pan for those who can’t afford it so children can feel special on their big day. Please see below to contact us about requesting this service. If you’re interested in donating items, see our needed donation list.

David's Heart
